The Spirit of Vengeance: The Impersonator of Souls

There is a mystery we often overlook in our human experience the existence of spirits that do not belong to us, yet thrive among us because we unknowingly give them license to perform. One of such is the spirit of vengeance, a wandering force of evil that feeds on our hurts, our anger, and our unresolved wounds.

When someone dies, their earthly consciousness ends. The Bible reminds us that the dead know nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5). Their thoughts, memories, and awareness are cut off from this world. They do not roam around looking for revenge, nor do they linger seeking closure. What many call “the spirit of the dead” seeking justice or payback is not the human soul at all it is an impersonator, a familiar spirit that capitalizes on our emotions to keep itself alive.

The Trap of Familiar Spirits

When a familiar spirit appears, it often mimics the voice, image, or behavior of the departed. It seeks to deceive, to make us believe our loved one is “back” or “watching.” But in truth, what we encounter is not our relative’s soul it is a spirit of deception, hovering around with a borrowed identity.

The danger lies in how we respond. By entertaining these impersonators, we empower them. By feeding into anger and revenge, we hand over authority to the spirit of vengeance, allowing it to sow destruction not only in others but within us.

Why Vengeance Is Not Ours

Human justice has its place, but vengeance belongs to God alone. When we seek to avenge ourselves, or when we glorify the idea of “spirits of the dead fighting back,” we are in reality fueling a force that thrives on hate and pain. The true person who died has no part in it their spirit is in the hands of God. The impersonator simply wears their face to gain access to our lives.

The Call to Awareness

This truth should open our eyes: not every supernatural appearance is of God, and not every familiar sign is your loved one. Sometimes what you see or feel is a counterfeit, a shadow trying to gain legal ground through your belief.

The spirit of vengeance is a squatter it has no home until we give it one. It is a beggar of authority, gaining strength only when we dwell on anger, unforgiveness, and the desire to make others “pay.”

Choosing Light Over Vengeance

If we truly want peace, we must learn to close the door to vengeance and deception. Forgiveness disarms evil. Love renders impersonators powerless. When we leave vengeance to God, we strip familiar spirits of their license to operate.

So the next time you hear someone say, “The dead will fight back,” remember this: the dead are silent, their earthly consciousness disrupted. It is not they who hover, but deceivers seeking access. And the greatest power we have is to deny them that license.

Eye-Opener: The spirit of vengeance is not justice it is a parasite. Justice belongs to God, but peace belongs to those who release vengeance and walk in the light.
